Art in Context is a course taught at the Art Institute of Boston designed for more advanced students interested in exploring the contemporary art scene in Boston, New England, and New York. Established guest artists from Boston and beyond will visit the class over the semester to discuss their careers, talk with us about current projects, provide students with critiques, and make suggestions about future directions. Meetings will also include trips to studios, galleries and museums to see work, visit collections, and meet artists, and curators.
